Politics behind Killing Bulls #81

Hi gals and guys, this is Lesley from MyChronicles007. Once again it is a blog post with a political view.

My last post is about the Students’ Protest against Supreme Court’s ban on “Jallikattu”, a sport in Tamilnadu involving bulls. In this post, I am gonna explain the politics behind the ban on Jallikattu.

As I stated earlier, Jallikattu is a sport involving bulls. India is the second largest milk producing country in the world with USA leading all. In USA, milk that is used widely is the A1 milk which contains the mutated protein, which has many harmful effects in human immunity. Those cows are made pregnant by means of artificial insemination. That is the cows are bred without the bulls, with the help of “Science.” If you study more about Artificial Insemination, you will surely die of panic. If you want to know more about this, you get detailed information in the book “Devil in the milk: Illness, Health and the Politics of A1 and A2 milk” by Keith Woodford.

The reason behind why they use artificial Insemination is that it is cheap and the cows will experience only less pain when compared to the natural breeding and also that the owner will not have the tension maintaining bulls and spending money on them only for the reason they are needed in breeding.

This is the same case with India in the ban on Jallikattu.

In Tamilnadu, bulls are grown only for breeding and for Jallikattu. If they ban Jallikattu, obviously the number of bulls will decrease accordingly and farmers and dairies depend more on the corporate companies for “Artificial Insemination” and people depend on them for milk and correspondingly the price of milk will also be determined by them.

But somewhat the thoughts and dreams of corporate companies have been destroyed by the youngsters of Tamilnadu. We youngsters protested against the ban on Jallikattu and now we have rights to conduct Jallikattu and now we are preserving our country breeds (bulls) and after the students protest in Tamilnadu, a great respect over bulls has been developed. Yes it is..!!

Let us speak politics..!!
